SATURDAY, JUNE 12th

Knit-Out for World Wide Knit in Public Day to be held at “Mile 0” Park (at Douglas St and Dallas Road) from 1 – 4 pm.
Bring your fibre projects, needles and hooks, a blanket or chair to sit on (the kind with the 'bar' legs, please, as opposed to the four individual legs), your own refreshments, and your enthusiasm!

SUNDAY, JUNE 13th

SPINDLE WALKING TOUR

11:00 am to 1:00 pm
A walking tour of the Signs of Lekwungen spindles installed downtown – bring your spindles!
Meet at our first stop at Laurel Point Park on the waterfront west of Laurel Point In, 680 Montreal Street (sculpture #7 on the brochure map).

Walk to our second stop on the Lower Causeway on the Inner Harbour in front of the Fairmont Empress Hotel (sculpture #4).

Move on to the spindle at the South-West bastion of the Hudson's Bay Company Fort at the foot of Broughton Street at Wharf Street (sculpture #2).

Then walk to the South-West corner of Victoria City Hall, Pandora Avenue at Broad Street (sculpture #3).

Then return to the Lower Causeway on the Inner Harbour in front of the Fairmont Empress Hotel and end up at the final spindle sculpture at the plaza in front of the Royal BC Museum, Belleville Street and Government Street (sculpture #6) where you could purchase a lunch, or bring a picnic lunch and stay for ...

A gathering of spinners on the benches around the Royal BC Museum spindle sculpture, for those spinners who do not wish to walk or who use a wheel. You might like to bring a chair as bench seating may be limited.
