HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE in the 2009 VICTORIA FIBREFEST!
- Come out to World Wide Knit in Public Day (WWKIP Day), Saturday, June 13th, at Mile O, from 1 - 4 pm. More info coming soon....
- Enter an item in Friday night's fashion show.
- Do the 'Yarn Crawl' on Saturday -- get out and meet your local yarn shop owners and staff, and support them supporting us!
- Teach a class -- or take a class, and learn something new!
- Support our sponsors and merchants at the market on Sunday -- or become one yourself!
- Talk to your company or organization about the benefits of community involvement with 'in kind' sponsoring -- from lumber to stationery to refreshments, you'd be surprised what we can use!
- Donate yarn and/or needles for charity knitting and for brand new knitters
- Volunteer during FibreFest week -- meeting and greeting, admin stuff, helping coordinate one of the events during the week, etc. There are several opportunites to help out!
- Provide items for various displays throughout the week. Have you got vintage fibre craft objects to show, or a unique found or hand-made item that others might be interested in seeing? Loan your treasures to us!
- Bring your 'UFOs' (those are 'unfinished objects') THAT YOU ARE READY TO LET GO OF to the Sunday market .... "one knitter's UFO is another knitter's idea of heaven!" Participants will be invited to help themselves!
- Come and sit and knit, crochet, spin, weave or watch on Sunday (bring a lawn chair or blanket, sunscreen and your project!)
- Tell others ... download the poster and/or programs when they become available, and pass on this info to anyone you think might be interested!
